Education Week, United Kingdom
The Mildenhall Education Center set up “Education Week 2008” in which Central Texas College, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, University of Maryland University College, University of Oklahoma, and University of Phoenix all sponsored group activities on different days. Central Texas College sponsored an Education Fair at the Mildenhall Post Office, during which students received free lumpia and drinks; also every 5th student that entered the grand prize drawing received a free prize…prizes were donated from each school for the event. The grand prize at the end of the week included a new iPod Nano, two $100 spouse/dependant scholarships, and a $100 active duty scholarship. See More
The Lakenheath Education Center set up an information fair at the Lakenheath Post Office during the lunch-time rush hours. Student received lots of educational information, some free candy and school paraphernalia, and had the chance to win a goody bag from Central Texas College!
